About Us

KaOM was established in 2011 with the aim of business and healthcare consultancy. This expanded to extend caring principles through Prevention and Management of Violence & Aggression (PMVA) training. The lead trainer Reuben is a well experienced mental health nurse with over 18 years experience ranging from Medium Secure Units to Care homes as well as community settings. We are committed to reducing restraints and improve quality of life for service users.

Our PMVA training focuses mainly on upholding human rights, preventative strategies and avoidance of physical interventions whenever possible. This is recommended by Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) training standards 2020 Training is GSA aligned and acceptable in NHS as well as leading independent providers from acute settings to MSU. KaOM has trained for a number of agency businesses and individual workers. We understand that people we care for remain vulnerable even when challenging behaviours are manifested. The vision for the near future is for training to expand in the direction of challenging behaviour in care homes, as well as consultation on dealing with aggression.
